Context

Build upon the suite of FAST channel brands we developed in partnership with Lionsgate and create an out-of-this-world destination for science fiction and horror content.

Develop a brand with the flexibility to work across everything from futuristic dystopias to campy horror films by embracing the unknown that these genres are famous.

Make audiences feel like they’re in the driver’s seat on a warp-speed journey across the universe through designs that are inspired by immersive, high-tech UI.

Naming + Logo

Exploring the outer limits of our reality.

OuterSphere is a name that alludes to elements from both science fiction and horror, nodding to outer space and the outer limits of what’s possible. The naming format is also built to align with Lionsgate’s additional FAST channels, MovieSphere and HerSphere.The logo confidently and boldly establishes this FAST channel as the ultimate destination for sci-fi and horror favorites, featuring squared-off, angular type that’s joined by a signature dash to evoke a loading bar to telegraph the genre.

Design System

Placing viewers in the captain’s chair.

OuterSphere’s focus on sci-fi and vintage horror inspired a futuristic graphic system reminiscent of movies like The Matrix, Tron, and Minority Report. Detailed, high-tech UI elements place viewers in the captain’s chair of a spacecraft exploring far-off worlds. A constant stream of information is displayed onscreen: status readouts, topography scans, crosshairs, grids, and file paths in a glowing, alien-green color palette.
