Sustainability in Action: House of Marley Receives 2019 FSC Leadership Award

In 2015, we helped launch House of Marley – a global, sustainable lifestyle brand inspired by the music, charity, and diversity of music icon Bob Marley. This week, the sonic upstart, which makes wooden speakers, headphones, earbuds, and more was one of 13 companies recognized by the Forest Stewardship Council’s Leadership Awards, and we couldn’t help but celebrate.

Every year, the FSC Leadership Awards recognizes forest owners, builders, architects, retailers, paper mills, manufacturers, environmental organizations and others who contribute to the movement toward responsible sourcing and forest management.

“From biodiversity and carbon storage to a sustainable supply of wood and fiber, people are waking up to the importance of responsibly managed forests to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges,” said Corey Brinkema, president of the FSC, in a recent press release by the organization. “This year’s FSC Leadership Award winners demonstrate that we can conserve forests, fight climate change and protect wildlife habitat, even as we use forest products every day.”
